Do I have an oceanfront room?

Yes. All of our rooms are oceanfront – there’s no better view in the hotel. All guestrooms have a private balcony with the exception of the first floor which has a walk-out patio.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in time is 4:00 pm. We cannot guarantee early check-in, although you may call the front desk to check room status. Check-out is 11:00 am.

We’ll be arriving late. Will you still hold my room?

Reservations are guaranteed until 11:59 pm on the day of arrival. If you are arriving later than 12:00 am midnight, please let us know as soon as possible.

How close are you to the beach?

We are right on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The beach is just outside our backdoor.

Breakfast is included…right?

Yes. Breakfast, WiFi and on-site parking are all included with your reservation.

Do you have an indoor or outdoor pool?

We have one indoor pool with a waterfall grotto hot tub that is open 24 hours.

What's the best way to get around?

Many shops, restaurants, and attractions are accessible by walking or bike. Besides your personal car, taxis, transit shuttles are available. More information.

Are there chairs and umbrellas I can rent?

Yes. Sunrise Beach Services – Boucher Brothers offers chairs, cabanas and umbrellas for rent on the beach. They can be reached at 757-213-3000 x5300. They are not affiliated with the Hampton Inn Oceanfront North.

Where can we rent bikes?

Cherie’s Bike Rentals operates out of the southeast corner of the Hampton Inn Oceanfront North parking lot closest to the King Neptune Statue and Boardwalk. Bikes and pedal surreys are available in season. Reach them at 757-437-8888.

What is there to do nearby?

There are tons of activities, festivities and events for children and adults alike. You can learn more here, or by visiting www.visitvirginiabeach.com/visitors/things-to-do or www.beachstreetusa.com.

We’ll be bringing 2 vehicles, is that okay?

Our hotel policy allows for one parking spot per room. This is enforced, especially during the high season and most weekends. There is a public parking garage across the street at 31st Street where you may park additional vehicles for a fee.

What is the difference between the Hampton Inn Oceanfront North and the Hampton Inn Oceanfront South?

Both hotels have free Breakfast, free WiFi, free on-site Parking and an on-site restaurant. The hotels are owned and managed by different companies. The Hampton Inn North has an open- faced parking lot and is located at 3107 Atlantic Ave. The Hampton Inn South has a parking garage and is located at 1011 Atlantic Ave. The North End, Beach Street, and South End of the beach each have a unique character.

Is the hotel a Hilton property?

Yes, as a Hampton by Hilton, we are a part of the Hilton Family of hotels, and you may use your Hilton HHonors profiles to earn points and miles and redeem HHonors points with us.

Do you have a hotel shuttle?

No, we do not operate a hotel shuttle, however HRT’s The Wave operates bus and trolley shuttles around the resort area.

How far are you from the airport?

We are approximately 17 miles (20 minutes) from Norfolk International Airport. Ground transportation options include rental cars, taxi cabs, shuttles and limousines.

Will I pay more if I book directly with the hotel or through www.HamptonInn.com?

No. There are rate parity requirements preventing third parties from offering a lower rate. In fact, Hilton HHonor members receive a lower rates when booking direct through www.hilton.com or 1-800-Hilton than are found on third-party sites like Expedia or Booking.com. The exceptions are the opaque or "name your price" type resellers in which the hotel is not revealed until you book. For the best rate and service, we encourage you to book direct through Hilton.
